Project Overview

BIM Asset Lab (BIM) delivers Digital Twins down to a 5mm accuracy master build spec, that building developers & owners can integrate successfully into asset, facilities, & lifecycle management. The goal was to build a best-in-market digital presence that could clearly explain a highly technical offer, show the quality of the work, and help the business present with more authority across both English and Italian-speaking markets.
This was about turning specialist capability into something people could actually understand, trust, and buy into.

Challenge

The challenge was not a lack of capability. It was articulation.
BIM Asset Lab came to Fastlane with strong technical capability, working with impressive clients, and had no real brand presence to match it. The business had deep expertise in BIM, digital asset data, and complex infrastructure environments, but the way that expertise showed up publicly was thin. There was no clear positioning, no real story, and no website that reflected the level of work they were delivering. Including award-winning work for the Auckland International 2040 strategic plan.

The business needed to answer a few hard questions properly:
- How will people understand what you do if you cannot explain it clearly?
- How do you make a technical offer accessible without watering it down?

Solution

Fastlane approached the challenge by building a modern responsive, engaging website in Webflow. Fastlane ran multiple discovery sesions to understand the technical offer in depth then translated that into messaging that worked for both technical and non technical audiences

The Project Included

  • Full copywriting & brand positioning
  • Wireframing
  • Webflow development in English and Italian
  • Animation of site features
  • Translation checks and approvals
  • Mobile responsiveness
  • Integrations with Weglot (translation mapper), their client portal, and contact forms
  • SEO
  • Structured Data

Results

The result was a smooth multi-language website that gave BIM Asset Lab a credible, modern platform for growth. We were able to showcase what BIM looks like in action across rich media (while taking huge file sizes to support load-speed performance).

The site helped strengthen relationships, support new opportunities with businesses including Warren and Mahoney, additional councils, and showcase her work after speaking at industry leading conferences.

And earned strong positive feedback, including from the Head of IT at Air New Zealand. Most importantly, the business finally had a presence that matched the quality of its work.

What I liked about this project, was taking a strong technical founder and making her stand out as best in market. And that we built such a great relationship that she forwards me enquiries with positive feedback today.
